CMWRC operates from four locations in Maryland and Virginia offering a wide range of spiritual programs and classes for children, youth & adults.

Chinmayam

Silver Spring, MD

Chinmayam Chapter located at 46 Norwood Road, Silver Spring, MD 20905 blossomed in 2002 from those early days of CMWRC with a handful of dedicated families to a vibrant center. Chinmayam facilities include Kailas Niwas ashram where Swami Dheerananda resides. It has a special Meditation Room and a small assembly hall; Chinmayam houses Lord Shiva’s shrine and a 300 seat capacity, well equipped auditorium as well as class rooms for Bala Vihar sessions and a Bookstore; Devi Niwas has additional classrooms for Bala Vihar and enrichment classes; Chinmayanandam – A recent addition of 17.84-acre of adjacent land for future expansion. A pleasing spiritual trail on this newly acquired land is a nature path with specially engraved stones on its sides depicting the noble values cited in Geeta Chapter 13, expressed by Swami Sivananda as “18 ities”. It is worth a trip to Silver Spring MD to check it out!

Chinmaya Somnath

Chantilly, VA

Chinmaya Somnath Chapter located conveniently at 4350 Blue Spring Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151 serves a growing community in Fairfax and Loudon counties of Northern Virginia. The large modern facility was inaugurated in 2014 by Swami Tejomayanada on the auspicious Guru Purnima day. This facility has a 500 seating capacity well equipped Assembly Hall, a Fellowship (Dining) hall with 250 seat capacity, a full service Kitchen, 18 Classrooms for Bala Vihar and enrichment classes and a Bookstore. In addition to offering a complete range of CMWRC programs, the facility also is home to Chinmaya Blossoms Preschool. Chinmaya Somnath is always (except during the pandemic) abuzz with activities for all age groups.

Frederick Chapter

Frederick, MD

Bala Vihar and Vedanta classes and many events are conducted at the beautiful Urbana Middle School facilities, located in Urbana MD in Frederick county, close to the city of Frederick MD. Seeded and nurtured by a small group of like minded families with Bala Vihar age children, the chapter blossomed into its own and moved a few years ago to the Urbana location to serve families in Frederick county and nearby towns in Montgomery county.

Richmond Chapter

Richmond, VA

Started by Neil and Mina Bhatt, the Richmond Chapter is conveniently located in Glen Allen, in the northern suburbs of Virginia’s capital city, Richmond. Richmond area families are able to take advantage of Bala Vihar, Vedanta Classes, Study Groups (including Devi Group) and Bhajan programs offered here.
